--In the story "Hills like White Elephants" obviously talks about how couple deals with the abortion issue. One of the parts of the story where Jig stated that "That's all we do, isn't it - look at things and try new drinks?" (para. 33) means that it seems that they like having fun and just ignore serious matters. If given a chance to rephrase Jig's statement to be clear and honest about how she feels is by also saying that, "Having fun is all we do, isn't it--like treating ourselves more of a tool than a person with feelings and values"
