Week #3 Question #3

I think that the imagery that the author uses in the poem "Commitments", shows that the author felt as though he was apart of family that was loving, however he was often in the shadows. He was the odd one out, the black at of the family because of his choice in his lifestyle. I think that his words and views are deep and are felt by many in similar situations.
