Week #2 Question #3

In "Desiree's Baby", I think that Chopin demonstrates a view about marriage that isn't necessarily true. Throughout the story, she shows the love that the wife has for her husband and how it is limitless and has no boundries. The wife would do anything for her husband, without thinking twice. On the other side of the relationship, the husband though he loved his wife, it had limits. This was shown when the husband saw that their child was of colored descent, and therefore pushed his family away.

I think that Chopinn's perception of love is that it has limits and that it is unable to endure all that it encounters, whether it is good times or bad.
